World records are meant to be set and then broken several times over. Strangely, some world records are simply gross and things nobody wants to know about.
Can you image measuring for some records. The people at Guinness have to be serious about their jobs and have strong constitutions. While some records are pretty cool, such as the fastest car, the highest skydiving jump, or deepest ocean dive, others can be downright disgusting. These records might be better off left out of the books, but they were recorded and might not be broken simply because they are really gross.
Longest poop
It shouldn’t come as a shock that there’s a record for the longest poop in history, or that it was taken by an American man, but the immenseness of the turd is what is baffling. The man, who’s name has never been released, took more than two hours to expel a poop from his body that somehow stayed together and managed to measure 12 feet 2 inches before he was done. This record got him banned from more than 120 public bathrooms in his state. Nobody wants to deal with that in their pipes.
Worst drink
You might think that drinking some substances would be banned because they can be harmful. The people at Guinness put a claimer on this world record, making it an item that must be able to be consumed healthily. Tribesmen in Afghan nations traditionally drink a small amount of bull semen for their wedding night. It is called Koona and is known to be a potent aphrodisiac. Don’t be surprised if it becomes the main ingredient in the next erectile dysfunction pill.
Going deep
The record for the deepest insertion of fingers into one’s nose is a bit of a strange record to hold, but Josh Werner of Connecticut holds this record, claiming he can put 2.25 inches of his pinky finger into his nostril. While this doesn’t sound like much, see how far you can put your finger in your nose without causing bleeding or hurting yourself, it’s not nearly as far as this person. This might be a record that could be broken; and it hasn’t been verified by Guinness, but it’s still interesting to think about.
That’s a lot of nails
Would you ever consider keeping your toenail and fingernail clippings? Fefe Anon chose to do this and created a pile of clippings that measures 1.5 centimeters in height. That’s nothing though, another person broke the record and saved enough toenails to create a 15.20 centimeter pile. While this isn’t the most disgusting or gross world record, it comes pretty close. It’s crazy to think that these people saved their clippings just to achieve this gross record.
Biggest popper
Popping zits and seeing the pus hit the mirror is a time-honored tradition that’s a little gross, but part of nearly everyone’s journey to adulthood. The largest popping of a zit took place in 1987 when Carl Chadwick of Rugby, England, popped a pimple that sent pus flying across the room to more than seven feet away from where he stood. This isn’t an official record, but a gross record that might not be something anyone else can duplicate. Still, there’s no doubt that some people have tried to match this record.
Eating brains
If you worry about a zombie attack and the undead eating brains, you’ll love this world record. Takeru Kobayashi is known for participating in the hot dog eating contests around the world, but he’s also the record holder for eating the most cow brains. He swallowed nearly 18 pounds of beef brains in less than 15 minutes. That’s quite a record and something you might not see broken. That said, he may break his own record and eat more brains, while still going after the hot dog records as well.
Foot sniffer
Here’s one of the strangest and grossest world records that you don’t want any part of, especially if you don’t like feet. Madeline Albrecht of Cincinnati is the foot sniffer at Dr. Scholl’s testing lab, and her job requires her to do what others don’t want to. She has to sniff feet and armpits, which can certainly become very gross and smelly. She’s been doing this job for more than 15 years, which is incredible. This makes her the world record holder for the most feet sniffed.
