The menus are set up very nicely as a view screen set in a console showing clips and playing the main theme.

The Blu-ray set is not as in depth as the old The Clone Wars sets but it is an clean and easy to navigate menu.

Having the shorts, the episodes, the Rebels Recon, The Ultimate Guide (a clip show recap of Season one) narrated by Kanan, and the new Season Two preview is nice in that it puts almost all the officially released Rebels video content in one physical set.

You could quibble and say perhaps they should have included video of the entire Celebration Rebels panel, but most of that stuff is available on Youtube and we do get some of the highlights.

The Rebels Season 2: A Look Ahead is a fantastic featurette. It features a sit down with Dave Filoni and copious amounts of concept art as he reveals some secrets of season one and what is to come in season two. I will have more coverage of this on Tuesday.

As for the presentation of the episodes there is a slight difference in Spark of Rebellion. What we have on the disc is the series premiere split into two episodes. This is the ABC version of the premiere that features the Darth Vader opening. Spark of Rebellion Part I ends just as Ezra looks up and the Ghost and the Imperial Transport are being taken into the bay of the Star Destroyer. We then get the “to be continued..,” credits and then the cold open of another shot of the Ghost and transport entering the Star Destroyer and Hera giving Ezra the motivational speech.

I have seen some reaction that they should have maintained the theatrical cut that united the two episodes. I don’t have any issues with the way the episode is presented on the disc as it remains consistent with all the other episodes on the disc.

The episodes themselves look terrific on Blu-ray. The color looks slightly different from what I saw on TV and on the XD app. There is a warmer and more orange tint to the character models. The lighting and texture of the animation looks incredible and really shows off the work that the team put into the show.

I have zero complaints about the audio or visual on these disks.

All episodes played without any glitches or hiccups on my discs.

The Star Wars Rebels Complete Season One 2-disc Blu-ray set is on sale September 1st and comes with a MSRP of $45.99 but can be found significantly cheaper at outlets such as Amazon.com.

If you are a Rebels fan this is a set you will want to have to add to your Star Wars collection.
