From time to time Think Geek is going to be sending us out some of their items to test out and review for readers of this website. In this edition I will be looking at two items, the Star Wars Darth Vader Toaster and the Death Star Bluetooth Speaker.

Darth Vader Toaster:

The Darth Vader toaster is a thing of beauty. The exterior Vader helmet covering of the toaster is made of a nice matte black plastic. The plastic sculpt they used for this looks really good. This toaster would be amazing if it had a simple normal toaster underneath the helmet. Unfortunately it has a novelty toaster built in, which fully toasts bread on one side and only toasts the words “Star Wars” into the other side of the piece of bread. Some people may not like the fact that their toast is not evenly toasted on both sides. The big issue however that after repeated uses the novelty “Star Wars” text toasts very inconsistently and more often than not is illegible.

I love the way this toaster looks on my counter top but they really need to rework the internal workings of it.

I am only Luke Warm on this product.

The Darth Vader Toaster is on sale now for $39.99, 20% off the regular price of $49.99.

Death Star Bluetooth Speaker:

This bluetooth speaker isn’t the size of a moon, it is more the size of a softball. Made out of silver plastic on a clear plastic base. The Death Star bluetooth speaker comes with a single micro-USB/Aux input for charging and playing directly from a device. The speaker features a single speaker positioned inside the main laser well and many little holes in the outer casing which allow light to shine from the inside of the speaker when in operation.

I love this little speaker. It paired easily with my iPhone 6 and produced pretty good sound quality. I did notice a loss of quality if the volume on my phone was maxed out but putting the volume to 3/4 on the phone the speaker was clear and plenty loud for use across a room.

This speaker also looks good enough to display on a table or shelf and is sure to be a conversation piece.

I am Blown Away Like Alderaan by this product.

The Death Star Bluetooth Speaker is on sale now for $47.99, 20% off the regular price of $59.99.
