Star Wars Rebels: Titles, Writers and Directors Revelaed for Episodes 101-106

The latest issue of Star Wars Insider, #152 is dedicated to the new series Star Wars Rebels. Included in the plethora of interviews and information about the show is the “Launch Pad” section which features details on the first set of episodes of the series. Revealed is the episode titles, the credited writers and the directors for the shorts, the premiere movie and the first three regular episodes of the series.

The directors include Dave Filoni, Justin Ridge, and the previously announced Lee brothers Steven and Steward. Filoni is serving as supervising director on this series as well as executive producer. Justin Ridge is a veteran of The Clone Wars directing  “Holocron Heist” (2009), “Innocents of Ryloth” (2009), “The Gungan General” (2009), “Rookies” (2008). Ridge also worked on Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Cleveland Show among other animation work.

 

Steward Lee directed 21 episodes of The Clone Wars, “Sacrifice” (2014), “The Disappeared: Part 1″ (2014). “Crisis at the Heart” (2014), “Missing in Action” (2013), “Front Runners” (2012), “Revival” (2012), “Massacre” (2012), “Darkness on Umbara” (2011), “Nomad Droids” (2011), “Citadel Rescue” (2011), “Ghosts of Mortis” (2011), “Overlords” (2011), “Hunt for Ziro” (2010), “Death Trap” (2010), “The Zillo Beast Strikes Back” (2010), “Bounty Hunters” (2010), “Brain Invaders” (2009), “Legacy of Terror” (2009), “Senate Spy” (2009), “The Hidden Enemy” (2009), and “Defenders of Peace” (2009).

Star Wars Rebels will be Steven G. Lee’s directorial debut. He comes from an animation and visual effects background working as an animator on The Force Unleashed, as a storyboard artist on The Force Unleashed II, and a character animator for ILM on Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

Among the writers Greg Weisman and Simon Kinberg are familiar names to fans following the development of the series with both also serving as executive producers.
